My mom called tonight to tell me of the tragic death of someone who used to be in my ward. He was 9 years younger than me, so I didn't know him, but I knew his older three siblings. Blake Strebel and his friend were hit and killed in a car accident. The car that hit them was involved in a high speed chase. Apparent known gang members who were allegedly involved in a burglary earlier in the day. Having kids of my own, this really gets to me. I can't even imagine what these families are going through, yet they're still concerned for the families of the perpetrators. If we could all be so Christlike. Amazing people.

I have been incredibly busy lately, but I'll get caught up as soon as my eternal project is finished. Getting close. I spend most of my spare/free time working on it (which isn't much, or any some days), so hopefully it will be done within a week.

Jon Schmidt
My younger brother and sister were best friends with Jon Schmidt's nephew and niece when they were little. He even came to my ward one Sunday and did a presentation for a combined YM/YW lesson. All I remember is that he was absolutely amazing on the piano.
As I was watching this video (about 3 1/2 minutes into it) Sam came running in and said, "Hey, he's pretty good!"

awesome
I guess it's good that computer crashed again. AGAIN. I can't believe it. I have so much to do, and I waste a lot less time on the computer every day when I don't have easy access to one. I'm so tired of it crashing though, it's such a headache!
Will went on a rampage today, and I got some funny pictures. It's going to take me hours to clean it all up, but I'm learning to laugh at it now. The first time he started throwing dirt all over the carpet (from the plant) I told Sam I needed to stop Will. I got the camera first and started taking pictures (which only fueled Will's intensity). Sam looked at me kind of funny and said, "You're stopping him by taking pictures?" Only one of the many Will-disasters from today that I need to clean up.
I have to crochet now. The never ending project, but the end is finally in sight!! If I crochet for a couple of hours every day, I might get it done in a couple of weeks!
Pictures to come...some day!
