Steppin' Out

Yesterday I got a text from an unknown number that said, "sorry i have girlfriend" I thought it might have been spam or something so I ignored it.
Today I got a call on my cell phone from the same number.
The ensuing conversation:
Guy I Don't Know: I'm just calling to say that we can't go out, it's not going to work out...
Me: Oh, well that's okay...I'm married anyway. (I think I'm being funny, btw)
Guy I Don't Know: Oh...well...then I guess that works...uhh...
The End.
No name, no explanation, didn't even try for an excuse like a wrong number. ???? Funny, but slightly perplexing. Who is this guy?!

Reunion Day...Almost

As a descendant of Heber C. Kimball, I was really excited to find out about the family reunion at This is the Place Heritage Park (and the free admission for all family members!). I also had my high school reunion that day, plus a birthday party for Sam, so I had the whole day very carefully planned out so I could make it to everything. My stroller had a popped tire so we borrowed our neighbor's stroller.

Will & me waiting for Sam on his awesome pony ride. Luckily my nose and mouth made it in the picture.

They had a little petting zoo, so Sam went around and touched each animal once.

Molly just sat and let the animals go to her. It's so much easier that way. That goat tried its hardest to get into the diaper bag.

Will was so brave! He touched a sheep...
and a bunny! He would touch them and then back up really fast. It was so funny to watch him.

Sam went on the pony ride 3 times, he loved being a cowboy!

After his last ride on the ponies, someone (that worked there) came and showed us the HUGE wolf spider he found. Most disgusting thing I've ever seen. It was practically the size of a small child. Yuck!

We rushed from the park (missing the family meeting) to get Sam to his party, but Will threw up all over himself. I dropped Sam off and took the other two home instead of my high school reunion at another park. Mike met us at home, where we found out Will was running a fever of 104.3 degrees. We freaked out and called the doctor. After a lengthy conversation we decided to just watch him, since the ibuprofen was helping with the fever and he had fallen asleep. We weren't sure what was going on, so we took him to the doctor a couple of days later when he still wasn't over it. Just an ear infection. Horrible fever, vomiting (5 times! so much laundry), and it was an ear infection. Bleh. Next time he should complain about his ears hurting. That would be helpful. :)

Funny Boys

Mike bought a triathlon suit for the Half Iron Man he just did up at Bear Lake. He tried it on to see how it fit, and Sam's eyes lit up. He ran to his room and came back wearing his wet suit...so excited to be dressed like a super hero! Will didn't want to be left out, but we don't have a wet suit that small, so Mike put him a snow suit. I couldn't stop laughing when he strutted into the kitchen, so happy to be doing exactly what the other boys were doing. I jokingly told Mike I should embroider a belt and an X (like for XMen) on it, and then Sam begged me all afternoon to do the same to his. I still prefer the super hero obsession to Thomas. The next day Sam dressed himself in his wet suit again, but then found Mike's hockey shin guards. It was so exciting! He was a real super hero all day! He calls himself Monster Man (with no influence from his parents, really). Such a silly boy! He introduces himself as Monster Man to everyone he meets, and he has half the people we know calling him that instead of Sam.
